It's been 10 years since 1,134 died and 2,500 innocent garment workers injured - trying to make a living working in the garment factory, Rana Plaza in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
@fash_rev started that same year as a result of the tragedy. Asking us to question #whomademyclothes. Fashion Revolution is a global movement that aims to promote sustainability, transparency, and ethical practices in the fashion industry. In Singapore, the movement seeks to raise awareness about the environmental and social impact of fashion and encourage consumers to make more conscious choices when it comes to fashion consumption.

To achieve these goals, Fashion Revolution Singapore organizes various events and activities, such as panel discussions, workshops, and pop-up stores featuring sustainable and ethical fashion brands. These events provide a platform for designers, activists, and consumers to engage in meaningful conversations and learn about sustainable fashion practices.
This year there is a great lineup of events and one that we are personally looking forward to is the Zine Party happening at the ultra cool Zerrin Lounge.
Join a panel of zine contributors in learning about their creative process in responding to Manifesto for a Fashion Revolution.
Singapore's Manifesto for a Fashion Revolution is a compilation of creative responses to Fashion Revolution's 10-point Manifesto for a Fashion Revolution. Through a crochet poem, tales and soundbites on a reality tv fashion competition and the kain sarong, essays on the beauty of Small and an outfit journal of loved and cherished fashion pieces; Singapore's Manifesto for a Fashion Revolution resists and protests, delights and celebrates fashion and its people.
Contributors include community organiser and builder Irie Aman, editor and writer Aditi Shivaramakrishnan, whose work has appeared on gal-dem, SEASONINGS magazine and elsewhere, and Thammika Songkaeo, National Geographic Explorer (2022) and creator of Changing Room (2023), a dance film on climate change and the body.
