INDOSOLE SINGAPORE STORY
The Indosole Singapore story would not be possible without the vision of Kyle Parsons, Indosole founder and CEO. During a trip to Bali some years ago, he purchased a pair of sandals with soles made from motorbike tyres. The unique sandals prompted Kyle to learn more about the worldwide tyre problem, and he found that over one billion waste tyres end up in landfills every year. It was this startling statistic, and what should be done to alleviate this problem that was the impetus to launch the Indosole brand in 2009. To this day, it is the foundation on which Indosole is built. Repurposing rubber tyres, which are consciously sourced from landfills, mechanic garages, and gutters from all around Bali and other islands of Indonesia. We have built continuous relationships based on respect and trust with the original suppliers and artisans employed since the brands humble beginnings.
Indosole Singapore’s Jennifer Gregory is a self-confessed eco-junkie who often [gently] imposes her recommendations for living with less and making changes for good upon her family and friends. Her move to Singapore, from Australia, in 2017 accelerated her mission to seek out businesses and people with a strong ethos of sustainability, after seeing the excessive use of single-use plastics, endless streams of litter, and how little recycling was done of it all.
Having traveled extensively over the last 20 years, Jennifer has experienced first hand the devastating effects of the over-consumption of materials on this planet is having to our natural environment, especially our oceans and coastlines, and the livelihoods of people who live near them, particularly in the third world.
It was a chance meeting with Kyle Parsons, founder and CEO of Indosole, at the opening of the flagship store in Canggu, Bali, on it’s opening day that led Jennifer down the path of bringing Indosole to Singapore. Her enthusiasm to help spread the word of using #businessforgood and Indosole’s incredible capacity to create massive positive impact through their environmental stewardship brought together likeminds and a vision for an even brighter future. She believes that the little red dot is turning green and knowing that two of the most popular styles of shoes worn in Singapore are slides and flip-flops, it seemed well overdue that we should make Indosole available to a growing sophisticated and ethically fashion forward Singapore market.
Here at Indosole Singapore, we are proud to be the custodians of the brand, and all that it stands for. After all, it’s Singapore, and .... Now you can look good and feel even better about wearing them.

THE IDEA OF TURNING TYRES INTO SOLES CAME FROM THE INDONESIAN PEOPLE.
Through ingenuity they, like many cultures around the world, managed to turn trash into something
functional and new. We are on a quest to magnify this concept, to produce tyre sole footwear on a
larger scale, to make it more acceptable to the masses and eventually more preferable. We have
continually developed our tyre sole footwear to ensure that it is fashionable and super
comfortable. We
hope you will join us on our quest to save 1 million tyres from negatively impacting our
environment.
Come along on our journey by following us on social media and helping us spread the word.
Thanks,
Indosole
