Care:

Wipe the woven strap with a damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing it or putting it under running water. Use a natural soap and a cleaning brush or cloth to clean the sole, avoiding the strap as noted above.

Indosole use natural rubber in the midsole which provides unparalleled support you won't find in other Flip Flops. The natural rubber in the footbed prefers to be left to dry in the shade and stored out of direct sunlight when you are not wearing them.

What's the difference between Handep Weave and ESSNTLS Ranges?

The sole and footbed are the same. The difference is the strap and in terms of wear, they both wear similarly.

On Handep Weave Flip Flops or Slides, the strap is hand-woven by Handep artisans from natural rattan in a batik-style pattern, over a soft foam lining. ESSNTLS Flip Flops or Slides have a smooth, waterproof recycled PU strap.

Absolutely. Many customers buy Indosole as house slippers as the natural rubber midsole provides amazing support and comfort on hard surfaces. They also provide dependable grip on tiled floors and do not leave scuff marks.

Are the Handep Weave Flip Flops and Slides waterproof?

When getting your Handep Weave Flip Flops wet, a little rain is fine. The sole is fully waterproof, but the woven strap is a natural fibre, so it should be allowed to dry out between wears. Regular soaking breaks the weave down over time. For pool days or wet bathroom floors, we recommend the ESSNTLS Slides or Flip Flops or the Easy Living Flip Flops for 100% waterproof straps.

Do the Handep Weave straps stretch?

No. All Indosole Straps soften to mold to your unique foot shape, but they do not stretch out or loosen with continued wear.

Do Handep Weave Slides or Flip Flops need breaking in?

The natural fibre batik straps on the Handep Weave Flip Flops and Slides are lined with a dreamcloud comfort 100% recycled nylon lining that molds to your foot within hours of wearing them, giving them the perfect fit for all-day wear. As with any pair of shoes, if they feel a little snug to begin with, wear them around the house for a day or two first. Most people find them comfy straight out of the box. But after a few wears, you'll find you won't want to take them off!
